BEELINES NORTH EAST – PROJECT TEAM

Urban Green Newcastle and Northumberland Wildlife Trust are delighted to be working in partnership for an 18-month project to ‘bring the buzz back’ to the city and surrounding areas. Working with the Buglife B-lines initiative and other key partners, the project will develop a network of nectar-rich habitats across Newcastle, North Tyneside and SE Northumberland. Sites will include public parks, hospital grounds and the landscape sculpture of Northumberlandia.

Urban Green Newcastle is now looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic project team. Additional posts are to be appointed by Northumberland Wildlife Trust. All posts are fixed term (18 months). Secondments will be considered.

Fundraising Manager (Job Ref: FM)
Full Time (37 hours per week), £30,000 per annum, 2 Year Fixed Term

We are looking for an experienced Fundraising Manager to join our Enterprise Team.

You will be responsible for implementing a fundraising strategy for Urban Green Newcastle. This will include writing and coordinating funding proposals to grant making bodies, developing other income streams such as commemorative giving, and increasing visitor donations.

This is a role for a highly skilled and motivated person who is passionate about the work of Urban Green Newcastle. As the charity’s main fundraiser, you will implement the full fundraising mix, maximising income and developing new and innovative fundraising streams. The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience in raising significant income targets ideally within third sector funding.

The role is full-time and is for a fixed term of two years, with the potential for a permanent appointment subject to performance.

We are looking for an experienced Business Manager to join our Operations Team.

You will be responsible for managing operational activities for Urban Green Newcastle. This will include ensuring our Charity achieves statutory compliance in areas such as health and safety, safeguarding, data protection; developing and maintaining our internal systems; and supporting all our staff on employment, personnel and training matters.

This is a role for a skilled and experienced person, who is passionate about the work of Urban Green Newcastle, and has the drive and ability to work co-operatively with others to achieve shared goals and optimize the contribution of all members of the team.

The role is full-time and is a permanent appointment.

Part Time (18.5 hours per week), 2 Year Fixed Term

We have recently launched Urban Green Café, our flagship café venue in Exhibition Park. We’re seeking to appoint and experienced part time Pizza Chef. You will be responsible for the preparation of fresh food daily and will support the management of the café.

You will have experience managing a kitchen in a hospitality/catering venue/setting, a qualification in Catering, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or Professional Cookery and experience using and maintaining a wood fired pizza oven.
