Big Garden Birdwatch

Join the local RSPB (The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) group in the Nature Area (near Pets Corner) in Jesmond Dene on Saturday 28th January to help record the birds that visit the area.
The RSPB said ‘We have lost approximate 38 million birds from UK skies in the last 50 years which shows nature is in crisis. The RSPB as a conservation charity is working to save our garden birds and other well-loved species. But they need support from the general public. By playing a part in the Big Garden Birdwatch it helps to build a picture of how UK birds are faring in the face of nature and climate emergency.’
