Hire Paddy Freeman’s Pavilion

Located in Paddy Freeman’s Park, the old bowling Pavilion is a versatile and flexible venue that lends itself well to a range of events and activities, with views over the private green it offers a relaxing and idyllic setting. 

Built in 1967 for High Heaton Bowling club, the pavilion was used as such for 40 years. Now, it hosts a large room with views across the private green. With toilets, a small kitchen and storage room, Paddy’s Pavilion is a very versatile and spacious venue. The old bowling green makes a great spot for outdoor picnics or activities, or even for pitching a small marquee, gazebos or setting up outdoor games. The venue hire also includes 40 chairs and 6 trestle tables which can be used for larger parties.

Prices

The hire fees we currently offer are:

Hourly Rate: £25.00

Half Day Rate (4 hours) : £80.00

Full day Rate (8 hours) : £140.00

(We can offer a one off hire or regular hires.)

Parking

Parking

There is a pay and display car park located at the entrance to Paddy Freeman’s Park as well as street parking nearby which is permitted between 11am-12noon & 3pm-4pm.

An additional pay and display car park is located at Castle Farm Park (postcode NE7 7AF), which is 0.1 miles from Paddy Freeman’s Park (a 3 minute walk or 1 minute drive away).

Food & Beverage

If you’d like catering for your event, then the Urban Green Café can provide a small selection of menu options if pre-ordered. To find out more about what they can offer, please register your interest in catering within your booking email.

Alternatively there is a small kitchenette on site complete with crockery, cutlery, microwave, kettle, hot drink urn and fridge, so you’re welcome to provide your own catering!
