Celebrating Blossom Watch Day in Exhibition Park

Today (Saturday 23 April) as part of Blossom Watch Day we are celebrating the beauty of blossom within our city’s green spaces, with the official opening of our blossom circle in Exhibition Park.

Pets Corner Reopens!

After a three-month closure, we are excited to share the news that Pets Corner will be back open to the public daily 10.00-16.00 from Saturday 23 April.

Join our Queen's Platinum Jubilee beacon event

Our Queen's Platinum Jubilee beacon event on June 2nd will feature the official lighting of the Beacon, a carnival finale plus community stalls, food, and activities at Hodgkin Park, Benwell.

Notice of Works: Leazes Park from 19.04.22

From Tuesday 19 April we will be carrying out refurbishment works at the edge of the lake in Leazes Park to begin to restore it to it's former glory.  

Havannah and Three Hills Nature Reserve reopens following storm damage

After over 60 working days on the site, we are delighted to announce that we have now felled the trees which were identified as health and safety risks, which means that we are able to reopen Havannah Three Hills Nature Reserve for everyone to enjoy.

We're set to plant over 5,000 new trees by the end of April

This Saturday, 26 March, marks the start of the final planting project which will see us surpass our target of planting 5,000 trees across the city by 2026!

Help us plant new trees and hedgerow at Havannah and Three Hills Nature Reserve

We’re inviting you to join us on Saturday 26 March between 10am and 2pm to help us plant some of the new trees in Havannah and Three Hills Nature Reserve and carry out other conservation tasks on site.
