Following the closure of Pets’ Corner to the public, and changes to our staffing at Urban Green Newcastle to ensure everyone that works across our parks and allotments is kept safe and well, many of our animals have gone on a little holiday.

Recruitment drive at Urban Green Newcastle

Urban Green Newcastle is excited to be expanding the team and is currently looking to recruit seven new people to strengthen the core team. Roles in fundraising, marketing, event management and operations are currently advertised. 

Urban Green Newcastle’s tree maintenance programme

Since taking on the management of Newcastle’s parks and allotments in April 2019, we have completed a review of the trees in our parks to identify those that require immediate care and attention.

City Stadium Park welcomes interactive football wall

A brand new, state of art, interactive football wall has been unveiled at City Stadium Park, Ouseburn, as part of a playground improvement programme by Urban Green Newcastle and Newcastle City Council.

You don’t need an expensive gym membership to get fit and healthy in 2020. Newcastle’s parks are a great way to get outdoor and active, and the best part is, it’s all free.
