Trial reopening of tennis courts in Newcastle’s parks
Urban Green Newcastle will begin a trial reopening of its tennis courts following the relaxation of lockdown guidance from central government.
Playgrounds and games areas closed until further notice
All playgrounds, games areas (including tennis courts and multi-use games areas) and unfenced play equipment is CLOSED to the public until further notice in line with government guidance.
Playgrounds in Newcastle’s parks close in response to COVID-19 pandemic
Specific areas of our parks are being used more than others, particularly play areas and popular attractions like Pets’ Corner in Jesmond Dene. Because of this, we’ve taken the decision to close all playgrounds and Pets’ Corner.
