Four of Newcastle’s city centre parks cared for by our team have achieved Green Flag Awards for 2022.
This month we’re supporting Plantlife’s annual ‘No Mow May’ campaign to combat a decline in global biodiversity by helping to protect pollinator habitats across the region.
Today (Saturday 23 April) as part of Blossom Watch Day we are celebrating the beauty of blossom within our city’s green spaces, with the official opening of our blossom circle in Exhibition Park.
From Tuesday 19 April we will be carrying out refurbishment works at the edge of the lake in Leazes Park to begin to restore it to it’s former glory.
After over 60 working days on the site, we are delighted to announce that we have now felled the trees which were identified as health and safety risks, which means that we are able to reopen Havannah Three Hills Nature Reserve for everyone to enjoy.
This Saturday, 26 March, marks the start of the final planting project which will see us surpass our target of planting 5,000 trees across the city by 2026!
We’re inviting you to join us on Saturday 26 March between 10am and 2pm to help us plant some of the new trees in Havannah and Three Hills Nature Reserve and carry out other conservation tasks on site.
