Overview

With over 200 trees in Gosforth Central Park, there is a wide range of species and lime trees line the pathways. The War Memorial is Grade II Listed and a focal point for the annual remembrance service.

Description

Gosforth Central Park offers an excellent range of leisure and play facilities for all ages including a popular play area for under 14s (with swings, slides and climbing units, tennis and basketball courts, a men’s bowling club, and large informal grassed areas which is great for ball games, picnics and dog walking.

The formal flowerbeds feature a mix of flowers and shrubs, with ornamental roses and spectacular spring bulbs and make sure you visit the wildflower meadow and wildlife pond which is a haven for local wildlife.
