Overview

St Lawrence Park is a small neighbourhood park close to the Byker Wall, on the site of a former clay pit and brickworks.

Description

The popular park has a play area, open grassland for informal recreation and ball games and a network of footpaths.

There is an active Friends of St Lawrence Park who organise events and activities in the park as well as coordinating volunteers to help with litter picking and maintenance.

You can park in the surrounding streets.

The nearest bus stop is on Walker Road / Dalton Street.

Enjoy a relaxed afternoon with friends before heading down to the Ouseburn for a bite at one of the many brilliant places to eat.

The play area is popular with families and there is plenty of open space to burn off some energy.
