St Lawrence Park
St Lawrence Park is a small neighbourhood park close to the Byker Wall, on the site of a former clay pit and brickworks.
The popular park has a play area, open grassland for informal recreation and ball games and a network of footpaths.
There is an active Friends of St Lawrence Park who organise events and activities in the park as well as coordinating volunteers to help with litter picking and maintenance.
You can park in the surrounding streets.
The nearest bus stop is on Walker Road / Dalton Street.

Enjoy a relaxed afternoon with friends before heading down to the Ouseburn for a bite at one of the many brilliant places to eat.
Things to do for families
The play area is popular with families and there is plenty of open space to burn off some energy.
Food and Drink
After a trip to the park, why not head down to the Ouseburn for a bite to eat and maybe a drink or two at the Tyne Bar or Free Trade.
There are no toilets within the park.
