Pets Corner

Pets Corner is a popular farm attraction in the heart of Newcastle

Pets Corner

Overview

Pets Corner was founded in the 1960s in Jesmond Dene to enable city kids to experience farm life and to learn about animal care. We have an assortment of residents including visiting pigs and sheep from our partner farms, and our own goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, ducks, poultry and fowl.

Description

Nestled in the heart of Jesmond Dene, Pets Corner has been a popular, family-friendly visitor attraction since it first opened in the 1960’s.

Our staff and volunteers work tirelessly in all kinds of weather to ensure our animals and birds are well cared-for and happy, and to provide a welcoming, fun and educational visit for thousands of people each year.

We provide a second-chance home to some of our resident animals through links with partners – including the RSPCA. Please Note: sadly, we are not able to take in animals directly from the public. If you are no longer able to give a good home to your pet, please contact your local animal shelter or the RSPCA.

Support our work

Entry is free for anyone who wants to visit but we rely entirely on donations from the public to enable the farm to continue to survive and thrive. Donations pay for food, bedding, accommodation, vet fees and treatments, toys and enrichment for our animals and birds.

Become a Pets Corner supporter today and give our animals and birds the wonderful life they deserve. Every penny makes a real difference to our flurry and feathered residents.
