Thursday 15 February marked the beginning of an exciting new project in Westerhope Park that will see the creation of a new ‘Tiny Forest’ in the city’s green space.

Saturday 23 December 2023 marks the 150th birthday of Leazes Park – also known as the ‘People’s Park’ – and to celebrate this special occasion, we’ve partnered with Northern Lights Newcastle and you, the people of the city, to give the park a present.
People living in Newcastle upon Tyne are set to benefit from fresh investment into local football facilities thanks to a £4,250 grant from the Premier League, The FA and Government’s Football Foundation.
We’re delighted to announce that a brand new piece of play equipment, voted for by members of the local community, has been installed in Elswick Park play area.
Working with Newcastle City Council, we have secured funding from the UK Government and the LTA to refurbish public park tennis courts in Newcastle.
Our annual celebration of gardeners and growers from across the region is returning to Leazes Park on Saturday 16 September.
