We’re proud to once again be supporting the St Oswald’s Hospice annual art trail! You might be used to spotting birds, squirrels and other wildlife in the city’s parks, but have you ever seen a sheep!
This year, as part of the Shaun the Sheep on the Tyne Trail (19 July – 27 September), you’ll find four ewe-nique, super-sized art sculptures of Shaun the Sheep in:
Paddy Freeman’s Park
Exhibition Park
Gosforth Central Park
Jesmond Dene (Pets’ Corner)
Special offer at Urban Green Cafe
We’ve also created a very special offer for people following the trail via the official App. If you discover all four Shaun the Sheep sculptures in Newcastle’s parks, you’ll unlock a reward at our Urban Green Cafes in Exhibition Park and Paddy Freeman’s Park. Available between 10am-4pm everyday, you can claim one free ice lolly from our elected range. You’ll be given a four-digit code from our staff to claim your reward. Happy hunting!
We’ve partnered with Opencast who have created a hive of family-friendly activities on its website and a free wildflower seed pack for anyone that finds their #ShauntheBee sculpture. Show your unlocked Opencast Shaun within the official app at the café counter to receive your free seed pack. When you unlock #ShauntheBee via the official app, you’ll also have full access to the hive of activities too.
Shaun the Sheep on the Tyne is presented by and raising funds for St Oswald’s Hospice. The charity has partnered with creative producers Wild in Art, Shaun the Sheep creator Aardman and Headline Partners Newcastle City Council to create a ewe-nique art adventure that the whole family can enjoy.
